The National Executive Committee of the Namibia Federation of People with Disabilities in Namibia (NFPDN) has suspended its Chairperson, Matheus Hashongo, over alleged misappropriation of funds. 

The federation's National Executive Committee, in a statement, said Hashongo was suspended on 18th March. 

The High Commissioner of Namibia to Nigeria, Walde Ndevashiya, presented his letters of credence to the President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu.

Ndevashiya emphasised the historical ties of solidarity and struggle that underpin the relationship between the two countries. 

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has directed that the hostel at Pendukeni Iivula-Ithana High School be fully operational within a month.

The Prime Minister stated that the government invested N$44 million in the construction of the hostel, emphasising that this investment should not be squandered.

Former President Nangolo Mbumba, National Assembly Speaker Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, and McHenry Venaani, President of the Popular Democratic Movement, were among those who paid tribute to the first Speaker of the National Assembly, Mosé Tjitendero.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on all Namibians, particularly the youth, to draw inspiration from the discipline, intellectual curiosity and patriotism of the late Mosé Tjitendero.
