President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is expected to deliver the highly anticipated State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Wednesday.

The address is expected to outline the government's key priorities, review progress made, and provide a clear roadmap for the year ahead.

Tertiary education will be free from next year.

This was announced by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah in her maiden State of the Nation Address on Thursday.

Some nine years ago, student movements agitated for free education at public universities and technical and vocational education centres.

The sport industry was mentioned several times during the State of the Nation Address by President Dr Hage Geingob in the National Assembly on Thursday.
