The WJD Cloete Combined School at Rietoog about 120 kilometres south of Rehoboth, has received a classroom block and storage facility at a cost of one-comma-four million dollars.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare plans to set up more gender-based violence protection shelters across Namibia.

The government has committed to allocating N$5 million annually to a project tackling menstrual poverty among schoolgirls and intensifying free access to skincare products for children with albinism. 

The government will soon launch a pilot programme to provide sanitary pads to schools.
 

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare has officially launched its strategic plan for the period 2025 to 2030.

This plan is designed to advance equal opportunities for women and men, as well as for girls and boys, while strengthening child protection services.
