The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC), Dino Ballotti, reaffirmed the government's commitment to skills development and youth empowerment. 

The National Youth Council (NYC) has disbursed over N$3 million to youth forums funded across the country.

The funding assistance is split between 14 regional forums and 121 constituency youth forums to empower them and mobilise inclusive participation at the grassroots level.

The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) has expressed concern over the governance, equity, and transparency of public institutions following the recent announcement of Dino Ballotti's return to the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB). 

Speakers at the opening of the Okakarara Vocational Training Centre's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week called on the trainees not to become job seekers but rather use their skills to start their own businesses.
