Namibia extends visa overstay amnesty deadline

Immigrants who have overstayed their visa terms in Namibia are being given a final chance to leave the country.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security (MHAISS) has now extended the amnesty deadline to 20 January 2026.

Stakeholders met to discuss the nomination of the Daures/Brandberg National Monument Area for UNESCO World Heritage status.

The |Khomas Region has recorded a notable improvement in the 2025 Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary (NSSCO) Level results, climbing to fourth place nationally for full-time candidates based on cumulative achievement at Grade C and above.

The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts, and Culture has reported improved performance in the 2025 Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary Level (NSSCO) and Advanced Subsidiary Level (NSSCAS) examinations.

Minister Sanet Steenkamp announced the results today.
