Stakeholders in the Kavango East and West regions propose that the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund increase its funeral grants to N$50,000.

The proposal was made during a consultative meeting held at Rundu by the MVA Fund to amend the Motor Vehicle Accident Act 10 of 2007.

Urban mobility should be considered a national development priority among other basic services, as it has the potential to unlock and drive urban development and ensure people's well-being and safety. 

The Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund has expressed concern over the rise in pedestrian-related crashes and fatalities across Namibia, particularly in the regions of Kavango East, Oshikoto, Omusati, Oshana, and Zambezi and |Khomas.
