The Road Fund Administration (RFA) urges the public to make use of the opportunity to have penalties and debts dating back to 2022 and earlier written off.

Otjiwarongo residents have appealed to the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa, to consider relaxing and writing off outstanding water bills, taxes, and rates owed by pensioners and vulnerable community members.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Road Fund Administration, Ali Ipinge, has announced that debts for vehicle licences older than three years will be written off by the Fund. 

The prescribed debt totals over N$371 million.

Some Katutura residents in Windhoek, under the Katutura Residents Committee, petitioned the City of Windhoek, calling on the municipality to write off debts of pensioners under the 43 build-together groups, as well as the contract renewal of debt collector RedForce.

Over a hundred residents of Rehoboth Block E have benefited from the town council's ongoing title deed handover and debt write-off initiative.
