Meanwhile, a cattle parade show at the Omaludi Festival was called off at the last minute after an untested buffalo was spotted roaming the Okongo area.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah announced the cancellation and apologised to exhibitors and visitors who traditionally enjoy the segment.

President Netumb Nandi-Ndaitwah stated that the theme for this year's Omaludi Festival and Agricultural Show aligns closely with the government's development priorities and the goals outlined in the Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6)

The Omaludi Agricultural Festival in Okongo, Ohangwena region, started today.

The event is scheduled to be opened by its patron, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, on Wednesday.
