|Khomas Regional Council holds final 2025 meeting

The |Khomas Regional Council (KRC) held its sixth ordinary council meeting for 2025, which also marked its final meeting for the 2020 to 2025 period. 

The gathering addressed the council's achievements over the time frame.

Namibia records 431 road fatalities in 2025

Namibia has recorded 2,793 road crashes, which resulted in 431 fatalities and 4,565 injuries from January 2025 until November 10, 2025. 

This was revealed by the Works and Transport Minister Veikko Nekundi at the inauguration of the Okapuka checkpoint.

Woman killed in suspected crocodile attack in Mukwe

A suspected crocodile attack has claimed the life of a woman at Thibanana Village in Mukwe, Kavango East Region.
 
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday afternoon when 47-year-old Othilia Mandera went to fetch water from the Kavango River, just a few metres from her home.
