NNFU President urges treating agriculture as economic pillar

The President of the Namibia National Farmers' Union wants agriculture to be treated as a strategic pillar for economic development, rather than as a social welfare project. 

Adolf Muremi was speaking at the Agri Outlook Conference, which is underway in Windhoek.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has urged former Heads of Mission to use their international experience and networks to support Namibia's development agenda.

With Namibia rounding off Heritage Week last month, the National Heritage Council (NHC) has announced that it is preparing to nominate Brandberg for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
