Zambezi man seeks compensation for lost cattle

A resident of Muyako in the Zambezi Region, Patrick Matengu, is appealing to the government to consider some sort of compensation for cattle lost to a natural disaster.

Matengu this week woke up to five of his cattle struck by lightning in Maalo Village in the Muyako Area. 

B2Gold donates 40 computers to Masokotwani Combined School

The Masokotwani Combined School in the Zambezi Region has received a donation of forty computers from B2Gold Namibia. 

Valued at N$250,000, the contribution has been welcomed by both learners and staff, marking it as the first school in rural Zambezi to possess such equipment.

Rainstorm wreaks havoc in Katima Mulilo

A rainstorm left a trail of destruction in its wake, damaging houses and structures and uprooting trees in Katima Mulilo and the surrounding areas.

The storm that hit on Tuesday caused widespread damage to homes in Mafuta, Namalubi, and Lisikili.

War veteran Lt. Col. Office Chisozu dies at 90

A war veteran, retired Lieutenant Colonel Office Chisozu, from Kongola in the Zambezi Region, has died.

Chisozu died in the Katima Mulilo State Hospital on Monday, aged 90.
