General elections are underway in Malawi, with over seven million registered voters electing their next president, members of parliament and ward councillors.

Civic and voter education is needed to reduce voter apathy among the youth in the upcoming general elections in November.

This is according to the speakers at a civic education workshop in Walvis Bay, who expressed concern over young people lacking interest.

The Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) plans on making a strong comeback in the 2024 general elections.

Its president, Kandy Nehova, announced that the RDP will be returning to the polls, expressing the party's commitment to contributing to Namibia's future. 

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), has already started preparing for the upcoming general elections.

Namibians will go to the polls in 2024 to elect a President and members of the National Assembly.
