A group of women from Elombe Village received a one-day jam-making training at Ongwediva offered by officials from the Urban and Rural Development Ministry.

The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Peya Mushelenga, has reiterated the importance of training communications officers in the public sector as they prepare for the implementation of the Access to Information Act.

About 16 young women from the Kavango East Region completed their training in tailoring through the Dreams program.

The graduates also received toolkits comprising of sewing machines, materials, and ironing boards to start their own businesses.

Candidates who participated in the Namibia Correctional Service's recruitment fitness training in the Kavango East Region are crying foul, saying the results were tampered with.

Candidates argue that they were not offered fair treatment by officials.

Over 300 residents of the Ondangwa Urban Constituency have been trained in bead and jewellery manufacturing from recycled material as well as perfume making to empower them in making a living for themselves.
