An elderly resident in the Summerdown area of the Otjinene Constituency has stressed the need for those elected into power to consider the needs of the people who vote for them, especially the elderly, and to prioritise issues such as owning land.

Unoccupied farms in ||Kharas drop to 11 over past decade

The number of unoccupied farms in the ||Kharas Region has been reduced from over 30 to eleven over the past 10 years. 

This was revealed by the Deputy Director in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Albertus Engelbrecht. 

Ramaphosa rejects Western Cape secession efforts

President Cyril Ramaphosa says there is no part of South Africa's land that can be allowed to secede.

Ramaphosa said this in criticism of the planned trip to Washington D.C by the Cape Independence Advocacy Group, a pressure group that is seeking to secede the Western Cape from the rest of South Africa.
