Former Lüderitz Mayor Balhao joins LPM after leaving IPC

The former mayor of Lüderitz, Phillip Balhao, has joined the Landless People's Movement (LPM) following his recent resignation from the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC).

Balhao's mayorship ended after his resignation, as he had been serving on the council on the IPC ticket.

Addressing the crowd, LPM's  Chief Change Campaigner Bernadus Swartbooi said the party is against the incorporation of the Guinas Constituency into the Nehale Constituency.

The Keetmanshoop Town Council elected Councillor Annelize Knaus of the Landless People's Movement (LPM) as the new mayor during today's annual mayoral election. 

Councillor Easter Isaak nominated Knaus for the mayor position, and former Mayor McDonald Hanse seconded the nomination.
