The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) says it is optimistic that the voter turnout will increase significantly during the 26 November Regional Councils and Local Authorities (RCLA) Elections.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) is training police officers and party agents from the Kavango East Region ahead of the Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections.

The training focuses on preparing the police and party agents for their roles as well as polling procedures come voting day. 

The ballot papers for the upcoming Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections arrived this afternoon.

Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) Commissioner Pius Iikwambi said out of four international bids submitted, Uni Print, a South African company, was selected at a cost of around N$3.8 million.
