Namibia, through its Green Hydrogen Programme, participated in a policy forum on strengthening the green hydrogen value chain in Seoul, South Korea, on Monday.

The Minister of International Relations and Trade has expressed appreciation to the European Union for the consistent and tangible support it has extended to Namibia's key programmes over the years.

Selma Ashipala-Musavyi said this at a Namibia-EU Partnership Dialogue held in Windhoek on Monday. 

The Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economy and Industry, Public Administration and Planning, Iipumbu Shiimi, said green hydrogen will be one of the leading technologies of energy sources in Namibia.

The Council of Churches in Namibia (CCN) has engaged Keetmanshoop-based community leaders for input on natural resource beneficiation and how communities can derive benefits.

The Southern Corridor Development Initiative in the ||Kharas Region is set to become the heart of Namibia's green hydrogen revolution. 

||Kharas Governor Dawid Gertze highlighted the need to fully harness the region's natural resources to drive Namibia's industrialisation agenda. 

The Erongo Region has seen notable progress in oil and gas, green hydrogen, tourism, agriculture, and trade, marking a period of economic growth and opportunity.

Governor Nathalia |Goagoses said this during the state of the region address held at Swakopmund today.

Vice-President Lucia Witbooi has called on young people to be bold, consistent, and disciplined in their pursuit of knowledge and skills, describing education as the most effective weapon against poverty.

The Namibian government has reaffirmed its commitment to the green industrialisation agenda to fuel economic drive, including the development of green hydrogen.

President Nangolo Mbumba has announced that Namibia has reached a significant milestone in its journey towards sustainable growth, aligning with the country's vision for industrialisation, economic diversification, and job creation.
