The Saint Michael's Anglican Church in the capital commemorated the resurrection of Jesus Christ, reminding congregants that death has no power over them and that there is life after it.
Easter Sunday marks the day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and the congregants celebrated this with praise, dance, and songs in His name and honor.
The church congregation believes that the resurrection of Jesus Christ comes with benefits such as redemption, reconciliation, and renewal of hearts.
They were further encouraged to embrace this day through the Christian belief in the Trinity: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Some of the members had this to say about the day:
"Holy Sunday means revival, rebirth, and hope. For us as Anglicans, we express it through colors and certain traditions. Celebration during this Holy Week—actually, we just ended it on Monday—brings hope for all Christians that Jesus has defeated death and we are victorious."
"Today we are celebrating because we have new hope; it's very good. That's what it means—that we have hope again. Jesus died for us, for our sins, and therefore we are given hope once more."
