The Association of Chinese Enterprises in Namibia (ACEN), the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), and the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) jointly organised the China-Namibia Investment and Trade Fair in the capital.
The event aims to provide a platform for both Namibian and Chinese businesses in Namibia to showcase their services.
The trade fair brought over 30 enterprises to exchange ideas and skills and collaborate.
Former Namibian Ambassador to China Elia Kaiyamo urged entrepreneurs to partner with Chinese businesses through the right channels to boost the country's economy.
The President of the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Namibia, Luo Wei, said the event provides a broad space for growth for Chinese and Namibian enterprises.
"Many Namibian enterprises are eager to connect with China's advantages in technology, finance, and industrial chains. This is precisely why we, together with NIPDB and NCCI, have prepared this fair: to build a direct bridge of communication and a pragmatic platform for cooperation. We hope this will become a "hub for matching supply with demand", where Chinese and Namibian enterprises can meet face-to-face to exchange ideas and intentions, and more importantly, a "starting point for concrete cooperation."
