Miss World Namibia has awarded businessman Usko Nghaamwa with the Best Philanthropy Award 2025.

This, they say, is for his long-standing and impactful contributions to community development, education and youth empowerment.

The award is part of the newly instituted National Philanthropy Recognition Award that aligns with the country's national development priorities and the Miss World "Beauty With a Purpose" programme.

Nghaamwa has been acknowledged for his consistent support of community health initiatives, including plans to co-construct a community clinic at Omaimbi Farm in the Oshikoto Region.

His philanthropic legacy also includes the donation of bricks and building materials for school hostel construction as well as ongoing support for student welfare programmes, among others.

His daughter, Rhauna Nghaamwa-Kafita, received the award on his behalf.

"Thank you for the award, and I will hand it over to him."

Miss World Namibia says Nghaamwa's work reflects a development-driven approach that directly invests in human capital and promotes education.
