Speaking at the Independence Celebration at Otjiwarongo on Saturday, former Speaker of the National Assembly, Professor Peter Katjavivi, commended the government for setting up a task force to address the FMD challenge.

"To enhance sanitation services and tighten border security and strengthen rapid response capacity and finance awareness campaigns for livestock farmers, as a farmer myself, I'm particularly enlightened that our government has acted promptly on this important aspect."
