Former President Nangolo Mbumba, together with the Chairperson of the Otjozondjupa Region Regional Council, Paulus Nekundi, led a regional leadership delegation to pay condolences to the bereaved family of the late parliamentarian, James Uerikua.

The visit comes in the wake of a motor vehicle accident over the Easter weekend that claimed the lives of Uerikua and his 14-year-old son.

Paulus Nekundi, the chairperson of the Otjozondjupa Regional Council, described the death of James Uerikua as devastating, not only to the family but to the entire Otjozondjupa community and the nation at large.

He remembered Uerikua, who previously served as governor of the region, as a dedicated public servant committed to development and the upliftment of his people.

Nekundi also spoke about the importance of unity and support.

He acknowledged the loss of a leader in the region, whose contributions to public service will remain unforgettable.
