President Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between Namibia and Zimbabwe’s judicial institutions during a courtesy visit by Zimbabwe’s Chief Justice Luke Malaba and his delegation.
The visit follows an invitation from Namibian Chief Justice Peter Shivute, aiming to enhance cooperation in legal matters. The President expressed eagerness to learn more about existing judicial partnerships and underscored that shared rule of law principles make cooperation vital to delivering justice effectively.
Both Chief Justices noted that while a legal framework formalizing cooperation was signed in 2024, judicial exchange and support have been ongoing for years. The memorandum of understanding provides a structured basis for collaboration, building on prior engagements where thematic areas for joint work were identified for review and implementation.
