Local publisher Microwide Publishing Press held a digital launch ceremony, calling on authors to tap into e-commerce and digital distribution.
The company offers a variety of services, including editorial support, design and illustration, translation, and distribution.
It gives local authors and readers the opportunity to create and access local novels, educational textbooks, cultural literature and corporate editions.
Founder of Microwide Publishing Press, Victoria Hasheela remarks,"Now, micro-write publishing process there for the people like myself. So we offer publishing services from the beginning until the end for self-publishing authors. So people don't have to wonder anymore how they can publish their work. They basically have to come, and they have to bring their work to us, like a Microsoft Word document, and then we make it; we then turn it into a book. So the good thing is Namibian stories are finding momentum."
Guest speaker and life coach Nangula Hamunyela urged the public to get more involved in the literature space.
She says literature is not merely a hobby but provides knowledge and a leadership advantage in today's evolving world.
"What are the successful leaders reading? They are reading about leadership and strategy. They are reading about business trends. They are reading about innovation and technology, biography, psychology and communication, and personal development, because all these broaden your thinking."
