President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on young Namibians to write, saying that literature and novels influence people's lives in one way or another.

“We all know that a writing nation is a reading nation, and a reading nation is a knowledgeable nation, and a knowledgeable nation is a productive nation, and a productive nation is a prosperous nation. Namibia's future is in our hands, and we must all bring out our talents to make our contribution. Literature, as a product of the creative industries, is a vital medium for expressing our histories, dreams, and aspirations, among others. This publication promotes a culture of innovation and critical thinking. As we celebrate this launch, we reaffirm the importance of literature in shaping our national consciousness and advancing our transformative agenda.”
