The Namibian Police is launching an amnesty campaign from the 01 September to the 30 September under the theme "together for a peaceful future."

This initiative encourages the public to voluntarily surrender unwanted firearms, ammunition, and armaments.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) will not tolerate laxity by any official who compromises the integrity of the electoral process. 

ECN Chairperson Dr. Elsie Nghikembua said the job is for serious people.

The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Erastus Uutoni, is disappointed with some councillors whom he said did not learn anything during the induction.

This, Uutoni said, results in the councillors making catastrophic and uniform decisions contrary to what they were supposed to have learnt. 

The Namibia-China High-Level Business Forum in Beijing, China, has already witnessed the announcement by the Namibian Government of plans to launch the Namibia Trade Policy to calibrate economic sector competitiveness.

The European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, says there is a demand for hydrogen energy from Europe.

But green hydrogen off-takers are not only in Europe but can also come from Africa.

Kadri Simson made the remarks during the first Global African Hydrogen Summit in Windhoek, Namibia.
