The Speaker of the Zambian Parliament, Nelly Mutti, has declared late Edgar Lungu's daughter Tasila's parliamentary seat vacant. 

Lungu, an elected MP for Chawama Constituency, has been missing sittings since her father died in South Africa. 

The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC), Dino Ballotti, reaffirmed the government's commitment to skills development and youth empowerment. 

Local teacher Petrus Mutji, who contested as an Independent Candidate (IC), is the Councillor for Tsumkwe Constituency. 

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), in collaboration with Club de Madrid and Junior Chamber International Namibia (JCIN), hosted the Ethical Use of Social Media Seminar for Young Women in Politics.

There is a power balance in the majority of Local Authorities, but the Swapo Party still dominates.  

In the Aranos Local Authority, the Swapo Party and Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) gained 3 seats each and PDM 1.
