The Mayor of Swakopmund, Blasius Goraseb, has praised the town's rising profile as Namibia's hub for sports tourism.

The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa, has removed all members of the Katima Mulilo Town Council from office and taken over their responsibilities with immediate effect.

 The decision was published in the Government Gazette on August 15. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has returned from the 45th SADC Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Governments in Madagascar.

The Summit addressed critical issues, notably the recent US tariff challenges impacting the region.

The Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced the death of Veueza Kandjii-Tjombonde, who died on Friday after collapsing at the pre-launch of the Namibian Women in Aviation initiative. 

Kandjii-Tjombonde served as the personal secretary to the executive director of the NCAA.
