President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah described the late Hardap Swapo Party Coordinator Joplin !Gontes as someone who was compassionate and a rebuilder of communities in the region. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah signed the Book of Condolences today at the High Commission of Botswana in honour of the late former President of Botswana, Festus Mogae.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services held a memorial service for the three staff members who died in a car accident on 1 May while on official duty.

Botswana's President Duma Boko has announced a three-day mourning period following the death of the country's third President, Festus Mogae. 

Mogae died in his residency in Gaborone yesterday.

Uerikua, who died in a car accident together with his son Venturo on 3rd April, was a member of the Central Committee.
