One contributing factor to domestic and gender-based violence is a lack of knowledge about marriage.

This was shared by the Namibia Marriage Council's Executive Director, Paulus Hawanga.

Joakim Kayangura was denied bail in the Rundu Magistrate Court following his arrest in the hit and run that occurred along the Trans Zambezi Highway.

Inhabitants of Shamunaro Village in the Kavango East Region are still finding it difficult to easily access health care services due to bad roads and the distances they have to travel to health facilities.

The Namibia National Students Organisation Kavango East Region raised approximately N$41,000 to support its operations and help vulnerable learners register at various tertiary institutions.

About 89 out-of-school vulnerable girls and young women from both Kavango regions who are part of the USAID Reach Namibia project underwent vocational training skills.

The students obtained their certificates.

Phase one of the Ndiyona-Djaradjara road in the Kavango East Region has started.

The road will go through Ndiyona-Djaradjara-Kandjara-Dcude-Cwiba-Khaudum-Shikerete and link up with the Tsumkwe road.
