Omaheke celebrates Miss Namibia and Miss Teen runners-up

Omaheke residents welcomed with celebration Uatjiri Mbaisa and Melanie van der Merwe, who were recently crowned Miss Namibia 1st runner-up and Miss Teen 2nd runner-up, respectively. 

Residents held a street march from the famous cattle country bull statue through the town of Gobabis.

Miss Namibia 2025, Johanna Swartbooi, arrived to a warm welcome in the Osona residential area on Saturday.

Family, friends, and supporters greeted Swartbooi upon her return from Ongwediva, the site of the pageant.

Johanna Swartbooi was crowned Miss Namibia 2025 at a glamorous and well-attended grand finale at the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre in the Oshana Region last night.

The crowd erupted in jubilant cheers as Keetmanshoop-born Swartbooi was named the winner and cheered her on with a standing ovation.

NYC to sponsor two Miss Namibia 2025 finalists from Okahandja

The National Youth Council (NYC) will sponsor two Miss Namibia 2025 finalists, Johanna Swartbooi and Alica Mokhatu, who both represent Okahandja.

The sponsorship came about after the contestants approached Okahandja Mayor Beatrice Katungondo, who referred them to NYC.

As the date draws closer for the much-anticipated Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia event at Ongwediva, the top ten finalists were exposed to various ancient traditional norms and practices of the AaWambo culture and traditions, as well as taking time off to relax.
