The !Khara-Khoen community in  the Hardap Region has received a shot in the arm in their quest to become crop producers and ensure food self-sustainability. 

The Hardap Governor's Office has injected N$50,000 into the !Khara-Khoen Traditional Authority's agricultural project.

The Chairperson of the San Community Garden Project at Maranata Plot in the Epukiro Constituency, Paul Chapman, is pleading for water provision to help the garden achieve its desired result. 

Chapman said the borehole will help the community improve their yields and, eventually, their livelihoods. 

The Office of the ||Kharas Governor handed over gardening equipment and seeds to identified rural community gardening initiatives in the region. The equipment and seeds were donated by Mefuta Enterprises.
