Tomorrow, the 28th of May, Namibia observes its second annual Genocide Remembrance Day – a solemn national holiday dedicated to reflecting on the 1904-1908 atrocities committed against the Nama and Ovaherero people.

12 May Declared Nujoma Day and National Tree Planting Day

12 May has officially been declared Nujoma Day, in honour of the late Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation, Dr. Sam Nujoma.

The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, made the announcement during the latest cabinet briefing.
