The United Nations' Resident Coordinator Hopolang Phororo has commended Namibia for integrating early childhood development, foundational learning, and teacher training into its structures in an effort to achieve quality education for all.
Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare, on behalf of President Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah, has officially launched the End Learning Poverty for All in Africa campaign, in which the country will strive to improve learning challenges among learners, especially those under the age of 10.
The Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts, and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, announced the launch of the "End Learning Poverty for All in Africa" campaign, scheduled for July 29 to July 31, 2025, in Outjo, Kunene region.
