A familiar voice that once guided Namibians through the nation's biggest stories is now set to lead the country's public broadcaster into a new era.

The board of the NBC has announced the appointment of veteran journalist Menesia Muinjo as its new Director General, effective 1 April.

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has announced the appointment of Menesia Muinjo as Director General, effective 1st April 2026, for a period of five years.

The Namibia Food and Allied Workers Union (NAFAU) and Bokomo Namibia have signed a two-year wage agreement granting workers a salary increase of N$1,000 over the period.

Employees within the bargaining unit will receive an across-the-board increase of N$500 effective 1 April to 31 March 2027.
