Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, had a busy first day at ANGOTIC 2026 in Luanda, Angola, on Thursday.

The 9th National ICT Summit will be held in the Oshana region. 

This was announced by Information and Communication Technology Minister Emma Theofelus at the national ICT Summit gala dinner hosted at Oshakati in the Oshana region.

Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Minister Emma Theofelus, launched the National Cybersecurity Incident Management Guidelines at an awareness event in Ondangwa, urging collaboration between the public and private sectors to build national cyber resilience.

Many individuals, especially those approaching retirement, have become increasingly vulnerable to cybersecurity threats. 

The Director General of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), Menesia Muinjo, said the national broadcaster is stepping up efforts to support cybersecurity awareness as digital threats continue to grow.

Stakeholders in the Hardap Region have called for affordable internet data costs while expressing concerns about unreliable network connectivity in some areas.

Namibian creatives could benefit from improved financial technology solutions as the country strengthens the ICT sector's collaboration with Mauritius.
