The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Ruth Masake, commended the organisers of the 18th Lüderitz Crayfish Festival for a well-organised festival.

Masake, together with her delegation, toured corporate and SME stalls at the Lüderitz Waterfront.

The deputy minister was accompanied by government officials, including the Deputy Minister of Industrialisation, Mines and Energy, Gaudentia Kröhne.

The delegation led by the CEO of the Lüderitz Crayfish Festival Board of Trustees, Alex Gawa!nab, witnessed a live crayfish demonstration, much to their amazement.

Well-known Namibian personality Neville Basson was among those who travelled to the harbour town of Lüderitz to attend the festival.

The 18th edition of the annual festival is held under the theme 'Safeguarding our Oceans' Riches'.
