RUNDU TOWN COUNCIL PROPOSES TARIFF INCREASE FOR 2026/27 BUDGET

The Rundu Town Council (RTC) management has proposed a new tariff increment for the 2026/2027 financial period. The proposed budget for this financial period is N$485 million. The council held a stakeholders meeting for input.

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Inge Zaamwani said the budget allocated to the ministry will be used to  boost food production and ensure fair distribution of land.

The ministry has been allocated about N$1,8 billion.

Finance Minister says government avoids borrowing for consumption

The Minister of Finance has said the government does not borrow money for consumption purposes, adding that domestic revenue is sufficient to cover operational expenses.
