The City of Windhoek is warning the public to be vigilant about fake house rental scams targeting residents for accommodation.

The municipality says scammers are posing as landlords or property agents and advertising houses that are either not available or do not belong to them.

The Namibian Revenue Agency (NamRA) has uncovered a fraudulent scheme linked to the Mass Tax Refund Initiative currently being implemented.
