The GIZ partnership in Namibia has donated a Community Information Centre in Rundu aimed at improving daily life for residents of Ndama location.

366 students from Alba Chipamba Training Centre are receiving their qualifications in nursing and midwifery science at the Rundu Trade Fair Centre, Kavango East. 

The 366 graduates are from the Oshikango, Walvis Bay and Rundu Campuses. 

The Rundu Town Council (RTC) management has proposed a new tariff increment for the 2026/2027 financial period. The proposed budget for this financial period is N$485 million. The council held a stakeholders meeting for input.

The Kavango West Regional Council and Rundu Vocational Training Center signed a collaboration agreement at Nkurenkuru.

The duo have previously collaborated on the completion of phase one of the Nkurenkuru Sports Complex, and the Rundu VTC has recently been awarded a sports facility contract at Ncamagoro.

Nineteen couples made history by tying the knot simultaneously at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Rundu, marking a first for the Apostolic Vicariate of Rundu.

Kavango West Regional Council has stated that the construction of an office park and 12 community toilets ranks among its major achievements for the 2025/2026 financial year.

Dr. Alpo Mbamba Senior Secondary School in Rundu has launched a media hub programme.

The hub intends to address youth empowerment, job creation through the creative industries and the development of a knowledge-based economy driven by local content. 

The volunteer teachers who started teaching at Ndama East Primary School at Rundu four years ago are devastated after they failed to make the cut for the permanent teaching jobs advertised in December last year.
