The City of Windhoek and the National Commission on Research, Science, and Technology (NCRST) have signed an agreement to establish a science, technology, and innovation centre at the UN Plaza Community Complex in Katutura.

The Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Evelyn !Nawases-Taeyele said nine new townships in Keetmanshopp, Mariental and Koes had been approved. 

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare said that veterans of the liberation struggle and other deserving Namibians are accorded state or official funerals in accordance with the criteria set out in the Veterans Act.

Dr. Ngurare, however, clarified that not all veterans receive official or state funerals.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services has finalised the Mental Health Bill and its regulations, which aim to protect the rights of individuals with mental health conditions.

She noted, however, that the force operates different categories of vehicles, each with a different lifespan.

The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture has installed prepaid water meters at schools in Okahandja. 

The Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, said the Education Development Fund does not have a financial reporting framework in place yet.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah honoured the late James Uerikua during the Central Committee meeting. 

Uerikua, who died in a car accident together with his son Venturo on 3rd April, was a member of the Central Committee.
