The City of Windhoek and the National Commission on Research, Science, and Technology (NCRST) have signed an agreement to establish a science, technology, and innovation centre at the UN Plaza Community Complex in Katutura.

STATE FUNERALS FOLLOW VETERANS ACT CRITERIA

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare said that veterans of the liberation struggle and other deserving Namibians are accorded state or official funerals in accordance with the criteria set out in the Veterans Act.

Dr. Ngurare, however, clarified that not all veterans receive official or state funerals.

IIPUMBU SAYS FLEET POLICY GUIDES POLICE VEHICLE READINESS

Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration and Safety and Security Lucia Iipumbu has said a fleet management policy is in place and guides the operational readiness of police vehicles.

She noted, however, that the force operates different categories of vehicles, each with a different lifespan.

NANDI-NDAITWAH HONOURS LATE JAMES UERIKUA AT CENTRAL COMMITTEE

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah honoured the late James Uerikua during the Central Committee meeting. 

Uerikua, who died in a car accident together with his son Venturo on 3rd April, was a member of the Central Committee.
