Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare officiated at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Kunene Region Resource School on behalf of President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at Kamanjab this morning.
The school will cater to more than 500 children with a wide range of disabilities.
The centre will be built at a cost of N$34 million, with construction set to begin this year.
It will include facilities for learners with hearing, visual, and intellectual impairments.
The building is designed with care, adapted to the curriculum, and aligned with Namibia’s Sector Policy on Inclusive Education.
It will house classrooms, hostel blocks, and ablution facilities, as well as a kitchen and dining area.
The aim is to offer dignity and tailored support to learners who deserve every opportunity to grow and thrive.
