An elderly resident in the Summerdown area of the Otjinene Constituency has stressed the need for those elected into power to consider the needs of the people who vote for them, especially the elderly, and to prioritise issues such as owning land.

Gewardine Kaihiva, aged 83, stated that she will cast her vote come Wednesday regardless of the circumstances.

She clings to the belief that voting the right people into power might one day grant her what she longs for most: a home, land and the promise of survival.
