The road to the crown has officially begun after the Top 20 semi-finalists for Miss Teen Namibia and Miss Namibia were unveiled during a ceremony in Windhoek over the weekend.
The semi-finalists will now compete for the prestigious national titles later this year.
In his remarks, the Director General of the NBC, Stanley Similo, encouraged contestants to use the platform responsibly and to represent the values of the nation with integrity and pride.
|Khomas Governor Sam Nujoma commended the platform for empowering young Namibian women and promoting leadership, confidence, and national pride.
"Platforms such as Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia are more than pageants. They are platforms of empowerment, leadership, advocacy, and national pride. Over the years, the pageants have stood as symbols of the strength, resilience, intelligence, and beauty of the Namibian woman."
Miss Namibia National Director, Beaulah Boois-Beukes, encouraged those who did not make it into the Top 20 to continue pursuing their hopes and dreams.
The semi-finalists for both Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia will now embark on a journey of mentorship, training, community initiatives and various challenges leading up to the national finals later this year.
