|Kharas Governor Dawid Gertze officially launched the Youth Desk on Wednesday evening in Keetmanshoop.
During the event, the Youth Empowerment Strategic Framework for 2026–2029 was also unveiled. The framework will serve as a guiding document for activities and projects aimed at empowering young people through skills development, education, and career guidance.
The celebration also recognised an award for exceptional institutional mainstreaming received during the 19th National Youth Week held in Windhoek last week.
More than 100 young people from across the ||Kharas Region, along with regional councillors, representatives from the National Youth Council of Namibia, and members of the Hardap Youth Desk, attended the celebration to commemorate this achievement together.
During the launch of the ||Kharas Youth Desk and the unveiling of the Youth Empowerment Strategic Framework for 2026–2029 on Wednesday evening in Keetmanshoop, one of the volunteers, Juanita Jahr, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Youth Desk to Governor Dawid Gertze for initiating the desk.
She said it has instilled hope among young people in terms of skills development, education, and career guidance for a better future.
