Miss Namibia finalists were given an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the glamour and operations of Namibia’s diamond industry, officiated by Debmarian Namibia.
The 10 Miss Namibia finalists toured Debmarine Namibia facilities and learned about the diamond value chain.
Debmarine Namibia Chief Executive Officer Willy Mertens stressed that despite difficult economic times, the company remains committed to creating opportunities and inspiring hope among young Namibians.
"We believe that the opportunities that we are creating with our investment into this Namibian pageant are something that will live beyond the time that we take out the last natural diamond from the bottom of the ocean. So it's not just about walking on the stage and looking beautiful and receiving all of that applause that you are looking forward to. "
Miss Namibia National Director Beaulah Boois-Beukes commended Debmarine Namibia for its continued investment in the Miss Namibia Organisation.
" This year we'll be going to Puerto Rico for Miss Universe. That's where we'll get to show off the winner, our natural beauty that we have, and show off what Namibia is really, really made of. So the investment that Dev Marine Namibia has taken to join hands with the NBC, with Miss Namibia, it's not a small investment."
nbc's Chief Commercial Officer, Nico Mwiya encouraged the finalists to give it their best shot at wearing the crown.
" You have the platform, you are selected for a purpose to be here. So one of you is going to be Miss Namibia. One of you is going to be Miss Universe. Our KPIs that we have given ourselves this year, we want at least Miss Universe for you to be in the top 10."
The Miss Namibia 2026 grand finale is scheduled to take place in Gababis on the first of August.
