Nearly a month after Namibians cast their votes to elect new leaders, legal experts have shed light on the transformative changes within the country's Electoral Act.

People from all walks of life, including high-ranking government officials, gathered at the Ndaitwah residence at Onheleiwa Village in the Ohangwena Region to celebrate the President-Elect's victory following the November national elections.

The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) has filed notices against the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), alleging widespread irregularities in the recent Presidential and National Assembly elections. 

The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) has warned the public of increased malaria cases in Namibia, particularly in malaria-endemic regions, over the past four weeks.

Between November 4 and December 15, the country reported 2,210 malaria cases, with 265 severe cases leading to 9 deaths.

The Namibian Police in the Otjozondjupa Region have recorded two suicides in Otjiwarongo and Grootfontein on Monday.
