During yesterday's session of the National Assembly, members of the opposition expressed resistance toward the proposed Land Bill, stating that they cannot approve it in its current form.

The National Assembly adjourned on the 30th of April and went on a month-long recess.  During the recess period, MPs carried out oversight visits and other constituency-related responsibilities throughout the country.

The MPs stood in solidarity, demonstrating that despite their political affiliations, they serve with a similar purpose: to bring prosperity to all citizens.

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Phillipus Katamelo says no law or parliamentary rule can fully regulate the moral conduct of members.

Katamelo emphasised that ethical behaviour ultimately depends on the consciences of individual lawmakers.
