Namibia launches national cultural and creative industries strategy

Namibia's first National Cultural and Creative Industries Strategy aims to nurture, develop, and celebrate artists, cultural practitioners, institutions, and creative entrepreneurs.

This was the message relayed during the official launch of said strategy, for the period 2025 to 2030.

China has delivered its second batch of rice donations to the government, worth N$76.5 million, to support the 2024/25 drought relief programme.

The first batch of 27,200 bags of rice was delivered in February, earmarked for Oshikoto.

Germany remains top source of tourists to Namibia

Germany remains in the top spot as the overseas destination from which tourists arrive in the country.

The 2024 Tourist Statistical Report launched by the Environment, Forestry and Tourism Minister Indileni Daniels shows that over 111,000 tourists arrived from Germany during that year.
