The Namibian Constitution ranks among the world's most progressive supreme laws-safeguarding fundamental rights, freedoms, and the rule of law.

Namibia is today marking the first anniversary of the death of Founding President Sam Nujoma, with tributes recognising his contributions not only as a visionary leader but also as the Father of the Nation.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah described the late Kanana Hishoono as the bravest, most selfless person and a veteran of the liberation struggle.

She said Hishoono contributed immensely to consolidating the gains of independence and democracy, serving in various capacities.
